Case Study

Anti-Fraud "Family Joint-Defense"

Internal innovation award

  • Period|2025–present
  • Role|Unit Compliance Officer (Concurrent)
  • Organization|NEXT BANK

Challenge

The elderly are prime fraud targets — and at the moment a high-risk transaction happens, adult children far away have no visibility and no way to step in. By the time anyone notices, the money is gone.

Approach

Built on existing risk-control/AML patterns to design real-time high-risk-transaction alerts with adult children as remote guardians.

A voice-guided interface lowers the barrier for elderly users; the data model is consent-first, privacy-by-design — PDPA purpose-limitation, data minimization and revocable consent.

Designed from a compliance officer's vantage point: innovation standing on regulatory ground from day one.

Results

  • Recognized in NEXT BANK's internal innovation competition.
  • Advancing to implementation planning.
